A voice of one, calling from the Kingdom

kingdom-of-god“The Kingdom” is one person’s journey through the Kingdom of God.

The Kingdom takes two forms;
Zion – the Kingdom that will come, and the Kingdom Of God that is within.

Jesus told Pilate “My Kingdom is not of this world”, and the Pharisees were told “the Kingdom of God is within you.

He stood on the mountain and taught the crowds to seek the Kingdom first, saying “Seek ye first the Kingdom of God”

My story “The Kingdom” shows what I did to seek the Kingdom of God, and it chronicles the help I received from the Lord.  I want my story to bring honour and glory to Jesus Christ, the King.

My heart is stirred by a noble theme
    as I recite my verses for the king;
    my tongue is the pen of a skillful writer

He (the King) is fairer than the sons of men
    and his lips have been anointed with grace,
    since God has blessed Him forever.
Psalm 45

Psalm 24-3

Since it is written in John 1:10 that all who believe in the King and receive Him are given the right to become children of God, in the Kingdom I call myself a Princess.  As “the Princess” I was tested.
But he knows the way that I take; when he has tested me, I will come forth as gold.   Job 23:10

The gown of the Princess is woven with gold.
The royal daughter is all glorious within the palace;
Her clothing is woven with gold.
She shall be brought to the King in robes of many colours.   Psalm 45

In the inner world of the Kingdom, I am but one Princess.  This is my story.  I hope it will inspire all sons and daughters, would be Princes and Princesses; all who believe Jesus and accept Him as Lord.

Awaiting the King

He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap;
he seats them with princes and has them inherit a throne of honor.  (1 Samuel 2:8)

Your sons will take the place of your fathers;
you will make them princes throughout the land. Psalm 45:16

Let me bring you to the King’s palace.  In my Father’s house are many rooms.  The King has gone to prepare a place for all who will accept Him as Lord.  You may already know the way.  If you don’t, let me show you.  Jesus explains the way in John 14.

I hope you enjoy the story.  I have put the List of Chapters on the menu.

  1. Thanks for looking and for following. It is good to have others who share their ideas and convitions. It is great to have a place to see things in another light. As good as all of this is for me, my prayer is that one who does not know God will find Him in someway as they stumble across these blogs and desire to know our God. Best of wishes to you. I do enjoy your blog. Margaret

  2. We share a number of the same spiritual ideas. Promote the gospel message through your work on this blog, it’s a great work for the Lord!

    “…praise the Lord…extol Him all you peoples…for great is His love toward us, and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever.” ~Psm. 117~

    Have a super day,

    • Hi Christian,
      Thank you so much for your encouragement, and for the awesome scripture. It ties in with a favourite verse I’ve had since 1997:
      Give thanks to the LORD, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done. Psalm 105:1
      With WordPress and the internet it is now relevant 🙂
      Your blog is great, I hope you reach lots of people.
      God bless, Jo

      • And the same for you too, Jo. The world really needs to come closer to God, but they move further away…always have.

        In Gen 6:6 are some of the saddest words in the bible. Seeing that man was so sinful, God revealed that He was “…sad that He had ever made man on earth.”

        Christians just have to be responsible for their own attitudes and relationship with God through Christ. We can spread the gospel message but it is God who “gives the increase.”

        Thanks for the visit and comment…
