The 12 signs on the Ecliptic
The Hubble Telescope and our computers have offered up to us the glory of the heavens – sights that earlier generations could only imagine. But for all of that, is there revealed truth beyond what we see? Or are we blinded by the glory?
Let’s look at the constellations. The sun passes through 12 signs on the Ecliptic – the path of the Sun on the celestial sphere.
The Ecliptic is written about in Psalm 19:4-6, “In the heavens God has pitched a tent for the sun. It is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, like a champion rejoicing to run his course. It rises at one end of the heavens and makes its circuit to the other; nothing is deprived of its warmth.”
Napier NZ, the city I was born, is the second eastern-most place in the world. It was the first place along with Gisborne to see the dawn of the new Millenium. To mark the day Napier erected a sculpture on Marine Parade called the Ecliptic Millenium Sculpture. It was built to line up with the position that the sun rose on the day of the dawning of the new millennium.
The constellations that the sun traveled through on the ecliptic revealed knowledge – day after day they poured forth speech, night after night they revealed knowledge. They have no speech, they use no words; no sound is heard from them. Yet their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world. Psalm 19:2-4
The ecliptic contains twelve signs through which the sun passes in its annual course. The 12 Signs each have 3 Decans (36 groups of stars), and 88 Constellations.
In the Bible the zodiac is called the Mazzaroth – which is written about in Job 38:32, the oldest book of the Bible,
“Can you bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion? Can you bring forth Mazzaroth in his season? or can you guide Arcturus with his sons? Do you know the ordinances of heaven? Can you set the dominion thereof in the earth?”
The ruins contain a truth which in the ages after the flood, lost its meaning and became corrupted into what we have today, the zodiac.
“The traditions of the Chaldean Astronomy seem the fragments of a mighty system fallen into ruins.” - Sir William Drummond, poet and philosopher.
Let’s have a quick look at the ruins. The Sphinx shows us that the signs begin with Virgo and end with Leo.
What speech did the constellations pour forth? What knowledge did they reveal? Are there distant echoes of the speech of the constellations in the great words of the Bible?
The sign of Virgo, “seed of the woman”.
God told the serpent in the garden of Eden, “And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; it shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel”. Genesis 3:15
Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel. Isaiah 7:14
The sign of Aquarius, “the water bearer.”
Jesus told the Samaritan woman “whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst.” John 4:13
The sign of Leo, “the Lion”.
“Do not weep! See, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed.” Revelation 5:5. Revelation is the final book of the Bible. It comprises a total of 888 words.
Before the scriptures were written, Seth, the son of Adam, taught this knowledge about the 88 constellations to the ancient world, the story about a King who would be born to save mankind. The number of His name adds to 888.
The name of that King is Jesus.
Jesus = Ἰησοῦς = Ἰ = 10 + η = 8 + σ = 200 + ο = 70 + ῦ = 400 + ς = 200 = 888.
There is no other name by which man can be saved. There is no other name under Heaven. Acts 4:12.
It is written that “whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Romans 10:13.
May you call upon His name, whether you are 8 or 88.
