Signs in the heavens, October 2014

Lunar_Eclipse_Masterton_1After playing cards on Wednesday night I stopped to look up at the lunar eclipse.  It was a chilly spring night on the 8th October 2014.  The full moon was out, unobscured by the clouds which had blocked the first blood moon of the 15th April.

Lunar eclipses are common, but a Tetrad where there are four lunar eclipses in a row is not.  This Tetrad is even more unusual because there is a solar eclipse in the mix.  When the last Tetrad occurred in 1967 Israel had the Six Day war.  Israel considers blood moons to be an omen of war and when there is a solar eclipse it’s an omen of war for the other 70 nations.   Jesus did say that prior to His return there would be wars and rumours of wars.

As the moon slowly moved into the Earth’s shadow creating a spooky sight I wondered what constellation the sun was in.  I opened “Stellarium” on my laptop, a free planetarium program which is great for star-gazing.

8-10-14 Blood Moon

Virgo, 8th October 2014, night of second blood moon of the Tetrad.

The sun was on Virgo’s arm, as she held a branch in her hand.  Virgo is a significant sign.  The prophet Isaiah stared 700 years into the future and gave Ahaz king of Judah a prophecy involving a virgin and Son.

Ahaz the King of Judah was at war.  Isaiah said; “Ask a sign for yourself from your God; ask it either in the depth or in the height above.”
But Ahaz said, “I will not ask, nor will I test the Lord.”  Then Isaiah said, “Hear now, O house of David! Is it a small thing for you to weary men, but will you weary my God also? Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.”

Immanuel means “God with us”. We know that Virgo means the virgin, but the meaning of the constellations was lost in Babylon. Virgo holds a branch in her left hand, and an ear of corn in the other.  The brightest star in Virgo is Spica.  Spica has an ancient name, handed down to us in all the star-maps. It is called in Arabic Al Zimach, which means the BRANCH.  What was the meaning of the branch?  The BRANCH was the title of a servant of God who would come to remove the sin of this land.

“Listen, High Priest Joshua, you and your associates seated before you, who are men symbolic of things to come: I am going to bring my servant, the Branch. See, the stone I have set in front of Joshua! There are seven eyes on that one stone, and I will engrave an inscription on it,’ says the Lord Almighty, ‘and I will remove the sin of this land in a single day.”  Zechariah 3:8-10.

The stone in Zechariah’s prophecy represents Jesus, and the seven eyes represent angels and churches.

The ear of corn in Virgo’s hand represents a harvest.  When Jesus was on Earth, He went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness.  When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.  Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.  Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”  Matthew 9:35.

2migiddo-church-7I moved my attention to the moon, which was now a rusty shade of red.  The moon was in Pisces.   The sign of PISCES means “Their blessings in abeyance” (temporary cessation or suspension).  The three constellations in PISCES are;

  1. THE BAND–bound, but binding their great enemy Cetus, the sea monster.  (The beast up out of the sea in Revelation 13).
  1. ANDROMEDA (The Chained Woman). The Redeemed in their bondage and affliction.
  1. CEPHEUS (The King). Their Redeemer coming to rule. The brightest star is called Al Deramin, which means coming quickly. The next is named Al Phirk (Arabic), the Redeemer.

Jesus said “Behold I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.  I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.” Revelation 12:13-14.

What did he mean, coming quickly?  It’s been 2000 years.  The Lord has no sense of time! “But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.”  2 peter 3:8-9.

The prophet Daniel said; “The end will come like a flood: War will continue until the end, and desolations have been decreed.” Daniel 9:26. Coming like a flood means events will speed up.

Besides the blood moon, there were two lots of meteor showers in the northern hemisphere; October 5th-6th the Camelopardalids and October 6th-9th the Draconids (from Draco).

This blood moon happened on the Jewish feast of Sukkot, which means “the in-gathering”.

Tiberias_synagogue_mosaic_etrog_lulav2

Lulav

Sukkot celebrates the harvest.  It is called The Feast of Tabernacles. It will be a time for the survivors of the nations to bow before the King (Zechariah 14:16).  After the crops were gathered from the land God commanded a festival, where the Israelites were to take a bundle of branches from four different trees;
“On the first day, you must take for yourself a fruit of the citron tree, an unopened palm frond (lulav), myrtle branches, and willows [that grow near] the brook. You shall rejoice before God for seven days.”  Leviticus 23:40

It was called “Lulav”.  Is it a coincidence that the children of Israel are waving branches at Sukkot?  I don’t think so.

Jesus was familiar with the day.  In John 7 Jesus did not go to the Festival of Tabernacles at first.  Jesus said to his brothers “You go to the festival. I am not going up to this festival, because my time has not yet fully come.”
After he had said this, he stayed in Galilee. However, after his brothers had left for the festival, he went also, not publicly, but in secret.
Jesus has not yet fulfilled this Feast but the day is coming when He will.  http://kswptim.wordpress.com/page/3/

A future sign in the heavens

I study the signs because it helps me understand the scriptures.  God is still using the signs of the heavens in His word.  For instance, in Revelation 12; “A great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head. She was pregnant and cried out in pain as she was about to give birth.

Then another sign appeared in heaven: an enormous red dragon with seven heads and ten horns and seven crowns on its heads. Its tail swept a third of the stars out of the sky and flung them to the earth. The dragon stood in front of the woman who was about to give birth, so that it might devour her child the moment he was born. She gave birth to a son, a male child, who “will rule all the nations with an iron scepter. And her child was snatched up to God and to his throne.” Revelation 12-6

The word for “snatched up” means “Harpazo”.  Harpazo is defined as seize by force; snatch up, suddenly and decisively – like someone seizing bounty (spoil, a prize); to take by an open display of force (i.e. not covertly or secretly).
“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.” (1 Thessalonians 4:16-18).

This is what is meant by the Rapture.  I don’t know when this will be, before the Tribulation or during.  For the persecuted Church, the Tribulation has already begun.  What will be happening in the heavens when this sign appears?

The Lord expects His Church to be like the sons of Issachar, men who understood the times.  It is really important now, because just like in Jesus’s day, people are feeling harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.

I am here at your service.  I know my Bible, I have a gift of discernment, and I learn as much as I can about what I see.  A useful book is one called “The Witness of the Stars”, written by EW Bullinger in 1893.  He’s not going to mind if you download it for free.

If you don’t know God, I hope you can see there is a lot more to Him and the Bible than you may have been led to believe.  I have a heart for people to know God and take Him at His word.   If you have any questions I will do my best to answer them.

The times of the signs

The second moon of the Tetrad, 8th Oct 2014

Last night we in New Zealand witnessed the second blood moon of the Tetrad, where four total lunar eclipses occur in a row six months apart.

When Jesus was asked about the signs that would precede His return He said there will be signs in the sun, moon and stars.  (Luke 21:25).  We have now entered the times of the signs.  So look up!  But more importantly, when you look up, what do you SEE?

A lot of people know the signs are significant.  Have you done any star-gazing while looking through the Bible, to try to understand what we might be witnessing?  I’ll be writing about what I see in those signs when I have some time on the weekend.

In the meantime, here is last night’s blood moon on our news.

Aries, the sign of the Lamb of God

ram b&wThe Mazzaroth is an ancient Zodiac, mentioned in Job, the oldest book in the Bible.  The 12 signs of the Mazzaroth tell the story of redemption and point towards the Messiah.

Aries is one of the signs.  As it is coming up to Easter, I’d like to show who Aries speaks of.

The Hebrew name is for Aries is Taleh, the lamb. The Arabic name is Al Hamal, the sheep, gentle, merciful.   The ancient Akkadian name was Bara-ziggar.

Bar means altar, or sacrifice; and ziggar means right making; so that the full name would be the sacrifice of righteousness.

Its chief star,Passover Lamb (in the forehead), is named El Nath, or El Natik, which means wounded, slain. The next, (in the left horn), is called Al Sheratan, the bruised, the wounded. The next (near to Sheratan ), is called Mesarim (Hebrew), the bound.

Aries is the sign of the Lamb of God in the heavens.  Passover was the sign of the Lamb of God in Egypt.  The ram provided to Abraham and Isaac on Mount Moriah in Israel was the sign of God providing the sacrifice for sin, Christ’s death on the cross.

John the Baptist saw Jesus and called Him “the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world”.  Take another look at Jesus this Easter.  He is who He said He was.  He thought us worthy of His sacrifice.  What is He worth to you?

The signs, and seeing eye to eye

water_jar_aquariusAfter teaching me about living water, the Lord gave me a sign to look out for – Aquarius, the water bearer.  I hasten to add, I do not believe in the zodiac, or follow horoscopes.  God’s the one who set the signs in the sky.

The sun is in Aquarius typically between January 20 to February 19.   He gave me the sign because it worked with the scene, a desert and living water.   It also set  the scene, pointing to a time in a future not yet arrived at.

The Lord has used the sign of the man with the water pitcher before.  He’s done it with the disciples.

The disciples were guided to the place where they were to have Passover, by a man carrying a pitcher of water.  Luke 22:10

So by copeter-and-john-with-the-man-carrying-waterntext, and from experience, I associate the sign of the man carrying the water pitcher with guidance.

How did Jesus know the man would be there, at that moment?  God promises “He will guide us with his eye”.

“I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go: I will guide you with my eye.”  Psalm32:8

Now I want to differentiate between God’s eye – which guides us, and Lucifer’s eye (the eye of Horus), which tracks us.  Lucifer can only be in one place at one time, so he uses technology to do his spying.  You can see the eye plastered all over the place – movies, billboards, music, the US dollar bill, and now even the Sydney Harbour Bridge on New Year’s eve 2013.   It’s hardly subtle.

Which brings to mind the scripture;

 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.

But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!  Matthew 6:22

I have added a post about the eye that is evil on my other blog;  Don’t allow the eye to fool the mind.

Helix-Nebula- Aquarius

The Helix Nebula in Aquarius – “The eye of God”

God isn’t manipulative.  He doesn’t want enslave us in a “New World Order”.  On the contrary, He brings freedom.  For Him, the most important symbol is the cross, because He wants to save us.

You have to look for the sign of His eye, but it’s there if you want to find it.  The Hubble telescope is revealing signs and wonders in the heavens, things that our Grandparents could only have dreamed of.

The eye is the Helix Nebula.  They call it “the eye of God” … and its located in the sign of Aquarius.

“May you and God see eye to eye.  May He instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go: and may He guide you with HIS eye.”

Zodiac signs, their context in the Kingdom of God

Sometimes God gives us signs.  In a chapter of my story “The Kingdom” I was given the sign of Aquarius – the water bearer, after learning about “living water.”  Aquarius, I hear you say?  Doesn’t that belong to astrology?

It got me into trouble with my mentor, who  believes the signs are best left to the zodiac, and astrologers.  I don’t.  Why should they?  One of the ways God speaks is by using signs in the heavens.

The signs belonged to an earlier system called the Mazzaroth, which is the Hebrew word for ‘constellation,’ and the word ‘Zodiac’ comes from a Greek word ‘zoad,’ meaning “path, way, circle or circuit.”

Putting Astrology in it’s correct context – Astrology is made up of these two words: Astro meaning “Star” and Logos meaning Jesus Christ, the Word, the Logos of God.

Many of the constellations have names that are very old.

The Mazzaroth is mentioned in Job, the earliest book of the Bible.
Can you bring forth Mazzaroth in his season? or can you guide *Arcturus with his sons?  Job 38:32

*Arcturus (also known as the Bear
and its cubs) is a bright star in
the constellation of Bootes,
in the sign of Virgo.

Here is my biblical position on the zodiac – from the first chapter of Genesis we read that the constellations are to serve as signs;

they are lights in the vault of the sky, that serve as signs to mark sacred times, and days and years.”  Genesis 1:14.

In that context they can serve as signs, to mark a time and place in prophecy – like the star the Magi saw at Christ’s birth.

You can’t make predictions using the stars.  The Lord says He makes fools of fortune-tellers, and frustrates the predictions of astrologers.

Here are His words;

“I am the Lord, your savior;
I am the one who created you.
I am the Lord, the Creator of all things.
I alone stretched out the heavens;
when I made the earth, no one helped me.
I make fools of fortune-tellers
and frustrate the predictions of astrologers.
The words of the wise I refute
and show that their wisdom is foolishness.
But when my servant makes a prediction,
when I send a messenger to reveal my plans,The Witness of the Stars
I make those plans and predictions come true.”  Isaiah 44:24-26

If you would like to learn more about how the constellations fit with the Bible, I recommend a book called “Witness of the Stars” by EW Bullinger.

I have also organised my posts that touch on the Mazzaroth under the heading “Signs from the Mazzaroth” on the menu.

Born to be

mary_baby_jesusHappy Christmas.  I hope it has been a good week and not too stressful.  For me Christmas is a time to celebrate and a time of truth, where the story of the King’s birth is told in songs, carols, stories and Christmas plays across the world.  If not for that, the message would be buried by Santa and Christmas sales!

The story has been fore-told in ages past, where mankind was promised one who would come to save us – the “seed of the woman” God spoke of when He cursed the serpent in the garden.  She is represented by the sign of Virgo, holding a branch in her right hand, an ear of corn in her left.

“And I will put enmity
Between you and the woman,
And between your seed and her Seed;
He shall bruise your head,
And you shall bruise His heel.”   Genesis 3:16

Genesis 3 15 - 2

The titanic struggle between the serpent and the promised one is represented by the sign of Scorpio, which portrays a gigantic scorpion endeavouring  to sting in the heel a mighty man who is struggling with a serpent.

Right now the battle on earth is for our hearts and minds.  Will we believe the truth, or treat it as a story?  Lucifer (called ‘the dragon’ in my story) has done his best to hide the facts of King’s birth, life and resurrection.  Christ called him “a liar, and the Father of lies.”

The serpent has raised up his own stories and heroes to hide, obfuscate and discredit the truth.  For instance, he will say that Isis and Osiris were there in Egypt before Christ and Mary, and before that there was Nimrod and Semiramis in Babylon.  Sure, they’re described in the Bible as “other gods”, idols that God warned Israel about.  The devil has a two-fold purpose; to keep the truth away from us, and to arouse God’s anger.  Hear God lament about it in the book of Jeremiah, about 600 years before the Birth of Christ.

“The children gather wood, the fathers light the fire, and the women knead the dough and make cakes to offer to the Queen of Heaven. They pour out drink offerings to other gods to arouse my anger.”   Jeremiah 7:18

Mary is venerated in the Roman Catholic Church as “the Queen of Heaven”, causing us non-Catholics to shy away from her.  I don’t mean to ‘dis’ Catholics, that is not my intention.  It’s just that Mary should not and would not want to be worshiped.  I believe she would be appalled at her identity theft by Isis.  I was thinking about it this Christmas, as I watched the children put on their Christmas play.  I do believe that Mary deserves better than to be avoided.  She gave birth to the King, raised him even though the sorrow of that would pierce her heart.  Christmas is about getting together with family.  Mary was part of Christ’s family, His mother here on Earth.  She wasn’t born to be a god, she was born to be a mother, the mother of a King.  In that role, I believe she deserves our wholehearted respect.

Stars“The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.” Psalm 19:1

The Princess gazed up into the heavens. Her friend had given her an alamac, which showed the stars and the times they would appear in their southern sky. The Princess was glad to get it. She had been interested in the stars since learning the story behind the signs.

The constellations that the sun travelled through on the ecliptic revealed knowledge, night after night they revealed knowledge. Psalm 19:2-4

 “It’s a pity that in her 88th year my friend can no longer stand outside and look up at the stars” the Princess remarked. “Yes,” the King replied “but how glad I am that she wants to learn the story of the 88 Constellations”.

The 12 signs on the Ecliptic

We can see through the Hubble telescope on our computers.  The glory of the heavens is revealed to us, sights that earlier generations could only imagine.  But for all of that, is there revealed truth beyond what we see?  Are we blinded by the glory?

Let’s look at the constellations.  The sun passes through 12 signs, on the Ecliptic, the path of the Sun on the celestial sphere.

The-Millennial-Arch

Ecliptic Millenium Sculpture, Napier

Let’s start off in Napier NZ, the city I was born.  Napier is the second eastern-most place in the world, first along with Gisborne to see the dawn of the new millenium. To mark the day Napier erected a sculpture on Marine Parade called the Ecliptic Millenium Sculpture.  It was built to line up with the position that the sun rose on the day of the dawning of the new millennium.

The Ecliptic is written about in Psalm 19:4-6

In the heavens God has pitched a tent for the sun.  It is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, like a champion rejoicing to run his course.  It rises at one end of the heavens and makes its circuit to the other; nothing is deprived of its warmth.

88 Constellations

Mazzaroth 1

The ecliptic contains twelve signs through which the sun passes in its annual course.  There 12 Signs each have 3 Decans (36 groups of stars), and 88 Constellations.

Let’s go now to the Bible, where the zodiac is called the Mazzaroth.  The Mazzaroth is written about in Job 38:32, the oldest book of the Bible.  “Can you bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion? Can you bring forth Mazzaroth in his season? or can you guide Arcturus with his sons? Do you know the ordinances of heaven? Can you set the dominion thereof in the earth?”

Psalm 19 speaks of the constellations revealing knowledge.

“Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge.

They have no speech, they use no words; no sound is heard from them.

Yet their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world.  Psalm 19: 2-4

What speech did the constellations pour forth?  What knowledge did they reveal?

Sir William Drummond, a poet and philosopher said “the traditions of the Chaldean Astronomy seem the fragments of a mighty system fallen into ruins.”  The ruins contain a truth which in the ages after the flood, lost its meaning and became corrupted into what we have today, the zodiac.

SphinxLet’s have a quick look at the ruins.  The Sphinx shows us that the signs begin with Virgo and end with Leo.

The great words of the Bible pick up the speech of the constellations.

The sign of Virgo, “seed of the woman”.

God told the serpent in the garden of Eden, “And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; it shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel”. Genesis 3:15

Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.  Isaiah 7:14

Aslan7The sign of Aquarius,“the water bearer”.

Jesus told the Samaritan woman “whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst.” John 4:13

The sign of Leo, “the Lion”.

“Do not weep! See, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed.” Revelation 5:5.  Revelation is the final book of the Bible.  It comprises a total of 888 words.

888

Before the scriptures were written, Seth, the son of Adam, taught this knowledge about the 88 constellations to the ancient world, the story about a King who would be born to save mankind.  The number of His name adds to 888.

The name of that King is Jesus.

Jesus = Ἰησοῦς = Ἰ = 10 + η = 8 + σ = 200 + ο = 70 + ῦ = 400 + ς = 200 = 888.

There is no other name by which man can be saved.  There is no other name under Heaven.  Acts 4:12.

It is written that “whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.”  Romans 10:13.

May you call upon His name, whether you are 8 or 88.
