Let the children come … for such is the Kingdom of Heaven

How do I describe the Kingdom?  The King said you have to change and become like a child to be able to see the kingdom.  People who consider themselves as rational and sceptical won’t.  It will never get past the gate in their minds. The natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.  1 Corinthians 2:14

Jesus said “Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” Luke 18:17

Children believe.  You see, they can recognise the King when they see Him.

“But when the chief priests and the teachers of the law saw the wonderful things he did and the children shouting in the temple area, “Hosanna to the Son of David,” they were indignant.  “Do you hear what these children are saying?” they asked him. “Yes,” replied Jesus, “have you never read, “‘From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise’?” Matthew 21:16

The last shall be first

In the Kingdom, the first shall be last, and the last shall be first. Matthew 20:16

Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize.  1 Cor 9:25

Who won the 400m at the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona?

Obviously, Derek Redmond lost his chance at getting an Olympic medal, unlike the other competitors.  Even though he came last, he got a standing ovation from 65,000 people in the stands.

Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. 1 Cor 9:25

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us,  fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith.  Hebrews 12

As he limps along crying, the man’s father came out of the stands to hold him up.  Has God done that for you?  He is the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles.  2 Corinthians 1:3-4

He did it for me, and He will do it for you if you let him.  We just have to call him Father, and trust Him.

Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God. 1 John 1:12

The Kingdom

Jesus said “every scribe instructed concerning the kingdom of heaven is like a householder who brings out of his treasure things new and old.”  Matthew 13:52.  NKJV

These posts are some treasure brought out for you.  Treasure hidden in unlikely places … like the Bible.

This is the King’s promise, ‘Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.’ Jeremiah 33:3

Great and unsearchable things – knowledge you can’t get from Google.

Ask, seek and knock, foreveryone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.”  Matthew 7:7-8

This chronicles things that were revealed to me when I knocked on the King’s door seeking for wisdom and truth.  I hope you enjoy the revelations.

It is the glory of God to conceal a matter; to search out a matter is the glory of kings.’  Proverbs 25:2

To the King belongs the Kingdom, the Power and the Glory.
