The signs, and seeing eye to eye

After teaching me about living water, the Lord gave me a sign to look out for – Aquarius, the water bearer.  I hasten to add, I do not believe in the zodiac, or follow horoscopes.  God’s the one who set the signs in the sky.

water_jar_aquarius

The sun is in Aquarius typically between January 20 to February 19.   He gave me the sign because it worked with the scene, a desert and living water.   It also set  the scene, pointing to a time in a future not yet arrived at.

The Lord has used the sign of the man with the water pitcher before.  He’s done it with the disciples.

The disciples were guided to the place where they were to have Passover, by a man carrying a pitcher of water.  Luke 22:10

So by copeter-and-john-with-the-man-carrying-waterntext, and from experience, I associate the sign of the man carrying the water pitcher with guidance.

How did Jesus know the man would be there, at that moment?  God promises “He will guide us with his eye”.

“I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go: I will guide you with my eye.”  Psalm32:8

Now I want to differentiate between God’s eye – which guides us, and Lucifer’s eye (the eye of Horus), which tracks us.  Lucifer can only be in one place at one time, so he uses technology to do his spying.  You can see the eye plastered all over the place – movies, billboards, music, the US dollar bill, and now even the Sydney Harbour Bridge on New Year’s eve 2013.   It’s hardly subtle.

Which brings to mind the scripture;

 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.

But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!  Matthew 6:22

I have added a post about the eye that is evil on my other blog;  Don’t allow the eye to fool the mind.

Helix-Nebula- Aquarius

The Helix Nebula in Aquarius – “The eye of God”

God isn’t manipulative.  He doesn’t want enslave us in a “New World Order”.  On the contrary, He brings freedom.  For Him, the most important symbol is the cross, because He wants to save us.

You have to look for the sign of His eye, but it’s there if you want to find it.  The Hubble telescope is revealing signs and wonders in the heavens, things that our Grandparents could only have dreamed of.

The eye is the Helix Nebula.  They call it “the eye of God” … and its located in the sign of Aquarius.

“May you and God see eye to eye.  May He instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go: and may He guide you with HIS eye.”

Zodiac signs, their context in the Kingdom of God

Sometimes God gives us signs.  In a chapter of my story “The Kingdom” I was given the sign of Aquarius – the water bearer, after learning about “living water.”  Aquarius, I hear you say?  Doesn’t that belong to astrology?

It got me into trouble with my mentor, who  believes the signs are best left to the zodiac, and astrologers.  I don’t.  Why should they?  One of the ways God speaks is by using signs in the heavens.

The signs belonged to an earlier system called the Mazzaroth, which is the Hebrew word for ‘constellation,’ and the word ‘Zodiac’ comes from a Greek word ‘zoad,’ meaning “path, way, circle or circuit.”

Putting Astrology in it’s correct context – Astrology is made up of these two words: Astro meaning “Star” and Logos meaning Jesus Christ, the Word, the Logos of God.

Many of the constellations have names that are very old.

The Mazzaroth is mentioned in Job, the earliest book of the Bible.
Can you bring forth Mazzaroth in his season? or can you guide *Arcturus with his sons?  Job 38:32

*Arcturus (also known as the Bear
and its cubs) is a bright star in
the constellation of Bootes,
in the sign of Virgo.

Here is my biblical position on the zodiac – from the first chapter of Genesis we read that the constellations are to serve as signs;

they are lights in the vault of the sky, that serve as signs to mark sacred times, and days and years.”  Genesis 1:14.

In that context they can serve as signs, to mark a time and place in prophecy – like the star the Magi saw at Christ’s birth.

You can’t make predictions using the stars.  The Lord says He makes fools of fortune-tellers, and frustrates the predictions of astrologers.

Here are His words;

“I am the Lord, your savior;
I am the one who created you.
I am the Lord, the Creator of all things.
I alone stretched out the heavens;
when I made the earth, no one helped me.
I make fools of fortune-tellers
and frustrate the predictions of astrologers.
The words of the wise I refute
and show that their wisdom is foolishness.
But when my servant makes a prediction,
when I send a messenger to reveal my plans,The Witness of the Stars
I make those plans and predictions come true.”  Isaiah 44:24-26

If you would like to learn more about how the constellations fit with the Bible, I recommend a book called “Witness of the Stars” by EW Bullinger.

I have also organised my posts that touch on the Mazzaroth under the heading “Signs from the Mazzaroth” on the menu.

The 12 signs on the Ecliptic

The Hubble Telescope and our computers have offered up to us the glory of the heavens – sights that earlier generations could only imagine.  But for all of that, is there revealed truth beyond what we see?  Or are we blinded by the glory?

Let’s look at the constellations.  The sun passes through 12 signs on the Ecliptic – the path of the Sun on the celestial sphere.

The Ecliptic is written about in Psalm 19:4-6, “In the heavens God has pitched a tent for the sun.  It is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, like a champion rejoicing to run his course.  It rises at one end of the heavens and makes its circuit to the other; nothing is deprived of its warmth.”

The-Millennial-Arch

Ecliptic Millenium Sculpture, Napier

Napier NZ, the city I was born, is the second eastern-most place in the worldIt was the first place along with Gisborne to see the dawn of the new Millenium. To mark the day Napier erected a sculpture on Marine Parade called the Ecliptic Millenium Sculpture.  It was built to line up with the position that the sun rose on the day of the dawning of the new millennium.

The constellations that the sun traveled through on the ecliptic revealed knowledge – day after day they poured forth speech, night after night they revealed knowledge. They have no speech, they use no words; no sound is heard from them. Yet their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world. Psalm 19:2-4

88 Constellations

The ecliptic contains twelve signs through which the sun passes in its annual course.  The 12 Signs each have 3 Decans (36 groups of stars), and 88 Constellations.

In the Bible the zodiac is called the Mazzaroth – which is written about in Job 38:32, the oldest book of the Bible,
Can you bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion? Can you bring forth Mazzaroth in his season? or can you guide Arcturus with his sons? Do you know the ordinances of heaven? Can you set the dominion thereof in the earth?”

The ruins contain a truth which in the ages after the flood, lost its meaning and became corrupted into what we have today, the zodiac.

“The traditions of the Chaldean Astronomy
seem the fragments of a mighty system
fallen into ruins.”
- Sir William Drummond, poet and philosopher.

Sphinx

Let’s have a quick look at the ruins.  The Sphinx shows us that the signs begin with Virgo and end with Leo.

What speech did the constellations pour forth? What knowledge did they reveal? Are there distant echoes of the speech of the constellations in the great words of the Bible?

The sign of Virgo, “seed of the woman”.

God told the serpent in the garden of Eden, “And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; it shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel”. Genesis 3:15

Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.  Isaiah 7:14

The sign of Aquarius, “the water bearer.”

Jesus told the Samaritan woman “whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst.” John 4:13

The sign of Leo, “the Lion”.

“Do not weep! See, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed.” Revelation 5:5.  Revelation is the final book of the Bible.  It comprises a total of 888 words.

Aslan7888

Before the scriptures were written, Seth, the son of Adam, taught this knowledge about the 88 constellations to the ancient world, the story about a King who would be born to save mankind.  The number of His name adds to 888.

The name of that King is Jesus.

Jesus = Ἰησοῦς = Ἰ = 10 + η = 8 + σ = 200 + ο = 70 + ῦ = 400 + ς = 200 = 888.

There is no other name by which man can be saved.  There is no other name under Heaven.  Acts 4:12.

It is written that “whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.”  Romans 10:13.

May you call upon His name, whether you are 8 or 88.
