The Lord I follow wants us to die to self, while the world wants us to live for self. Why is that? I believe its because we are created for a reason, to be saved and then transformed into the son or daughter of God.
But our fallen, natural self wants to be the one in charge and will fight His will. Why should we allow ourselves to be saved and transformed?
Does the Lord have a story to tell us about this? His word states that “through Him all things were created”, so it would be entirely possible for Him to leave some parables in nature for us to find.
His word calls it ‘being understood through what has been made’ … (For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made … Romans 1:20).
Learn the lesson of the caterpillar.
If you can think of some other parables from nature I’d like to hear them.
