God’s sign language

Einstein quote, coincidenceWhat do you think about coincidences?  Is it God trying to get our attention?  Or, as Einstein said, “a small miracle where God chooses to remain anonymous?”

I think people often get signs and dismiss them as coincidences.  I don’t dismiss them, you can miss out on a lot when you do that.

Have you experienced God trying to get your attention?  Has He tried to sign to you or speak to you with a word?  To hear, you must have the Word.  Hearing comes from the Word.

So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17

There are two kinds of Words in the Bible, LOGOS for general application and RHEMA for personal application, where the Holy Spirit will speak directly to you, bringing  revelation.

I think hearing with the Rhema word is something that is caught rather than taught.  When I heard people say ‘they heard from the Lord,’ I’d think ‘how?’  In time I caught on after meditating on the Bible.

If you don’t have the Word, you will be deaf and He will sign.

God communicated by sign until I understood the Word.  Now the sign and the Word tend to work together.

Here’s a practical example of a sign working with the Word;
My mother died with a row of sevens accompanying her.  She died at 7pm on the 7th day of the 7th month, aged 77.

Coincidence?  Noticing all the sevens, I asked the Lord if it was a sign.  The answer was in the affirmative.  He explained to me that Heaven is a place of rest, and He’d sent the sign wanting to reassure us she was at rest.

From the Word He showed me where Heaven is mentioned as the “seventh-day rest” in the Bible.  The Sabbath day is the seventh day;

There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works, just as God did from his. Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest … Hebrews 4:9

God used signs all the way through the Bible.  It’s standard operating procedure for him.

The sign either precedes or follows the Rhema word.

My book is based on how the Lord guided me using His Word, coincidences, visions and dreams, with signs accompanying.

It’s the number one thing I hope to convey to the reader of my book – how to look for God and hear Him.

After His death and resurrection, the Lord worked with the apostles confirming His word with signs.

“And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.”  Mark 16:20

He is still doing it today, because Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Hebrews 13:18

We just need eyes to see and ears to hear.  Matthew 13:15-17

Number 153, signs and symbols

Ever had a lightbulb moment?  I asked the Lord about the meaning of the 153 fish in John 21:10, and I was given a maths answer.  Amazingly I grasped the explanation.  Having to learn statistics in order to get my Diploma of Business helped. 

I had to overcome a lot to learn the math behind statistics.  I’d failed at maths at school, I had a lot of painful memories from the classroom. 

As a child in a crucial year before high school, I had a teacher who wrote the equations on the board without me being able to see.  All I could see was his back, and he wouldn’t let me move.  This went on for a whole year.  After getting him again the following year, it was game over as far as maths was concerned.  I learned nothing.

I didn’t have the internet where I could have taught myself from helpful websites.  I couldn’t even take my maths book home. I didn’t have parents or older siblings to help me.  “She can’t learn,” my mother was told.

In order to learn the subject, I had to overcome the teacher’s curse, the bad memories, and my loathing for maths.  Fortunately I have a very patient husband who helped me with the mechanics of maths in statistics.

But I kept complaining to God.  “Why do I have to learn this?” I protested, “we’re never going to use it in our business!”

“Make friends with maths” the Lord told me.  Not reconcile myself to maths, not become acquainted with maths; He wanted me to believe I could learn maths and take an interest in it!  It was a big ask.

In Proverbs 4, a Father’s instruction, He said; “Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding.”  Proverbs 4:7.

I never did use statistics in my business. But let me show you what I did learn.  The first things I learned in statistics were Factorial numbers and Venn diagrams.  These form the basis of the wonderful things God showed me later.  I am going to explain some cryptic but important signs and numbers contained in the Bible.

I’ll put the maths down at the bottom of the post.

The miraculous catch of fish was the last miracle Jesus ever performed.  153 fish were caught. John 21

When they landed, they saw a fire of burning coals there with fish on it, and some Jesus said to them, “Bring some of the fish you have just caught.” So Simon Peter climbed back into the boat and dragged the net ashore. It was full of large fish, 153, but even with so many the net was not torn. John 21:10

153 is an odd number.  What did Jesus mean by 153 fish?

153 is a triangular number.

A triangular number is where the sum of a given number forms an equilateral triangle.

153 means people.
153 adds from 1 to 17: 153 = 1 + 2 + 3 + 4+ 5+ 6 + 7 + 8 + 9 + 10 + 11 + 12 +13 + 14 + 15 + 16 + 17.

17 means nations.
17 is the number of nations present at Pentecost.

Five factorial, or 5! is  120.  It’s expressed as this, 5! = 5 x 4 x 3 x 2 x 1.
120 means the church, which started off with 120 believers in Jerusalem, In those days Peter stood up among the believers (a group numbering about a hundred and twenty) …”  Acts 1:15

The Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.  Acts 2:47.

Each one teach one.

So now you know the meaning of the 153 fish.  The first disciples Jesus called were fishermen.  He said to Simon Peter and Andrew, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.” Matthew 4:18-21

The Vessel of Fish

Imagine two circles, where God is in one circle, and people are in another.  Now join the two circles so they overlap.

I’m going to use the two circles of the Vesica Piscis, which literally translates as the “Vessel of Fish.”

In this “Vessel of Fish,” we have two circles, where one represents God and the other man.  Jesus is in the overlapping area as the intersection of God and Man.  That’s why he called Himself both “The Son of God” and “The Son of Man.”

Any person who comes to God through Christ is “in Christ.”

“Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,” Romans 8:1

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” 2 Corinthians 5:17.

Vesica Piscis

153 represents the width of the Vesica Piscis, the Vessel of Fish.  Archimedes, a Greek mathematician, physicist, engineer, inventor, and astronomer worked that out.

The mathematical ratio of the height of the Vessel of Fish (the Vesica Piscis) to the width (153) across its center is the square root of 3, or 1.732.

fish1So we’ve got the square root of three, the number three representing God in the form of the Trinity, and 153 representing the catch of fish and the Vessel of Fish.

power plugAlso interesting is that 1.732 is used in measuring power.  In electrical engineering, wattage = voltage x amp x power factor x 1.732.  It reminds me of Christ being referred to as “the power and the wisdom of God” in 1 Corinthians 1:22-24.

moonAnother interesting square root is that of 153.  The square root of √ 153 is 12.369, the amount of full moons in one year.

Signs and symbols

Just as the moon can hide itself, in Isaiah 8 the Lord spoke of hiding his face from Israel and binding up his testimony among the disciples.  The fish and the number 153 are for signs and symbols.  “Here am I, and the children the LORD has given me. We are signs and symbols in Israel from the LORD Almighty, who dwells on Mount Zion.”  Isaiah 8:11-18.

Do you understand now what Jesus meant when he gave the Teachers of the Law the Sign of Jonah?  He was in the vessel of the fish for three days and nights.

Then some of the scribes and Pharisees answered, saying, “Teacher, we want to see a sign from You.”  But He answered and said to them, “An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign will be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah. For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.  Matthew 12:38-42.

The Greek word for fish is “ichthys.”  Christian used the icthys symbol which incorporates the Vesica Piscis shape to identify themselves.  As early as the first century, Christians made an acrostic from this word: Iesous Christos Theou Yios Soter, i.e. Jesus Christ, Son of God, Savior.

No symbol means the same thing to all people at all times.  Greeks, Romans, and many other pagans used the fish symbol before Christians. Probably because it was in the constellation of Pisces.

Hence the fish, unlike, say, the cross, attracted little suspicion, making it a perfect secret symbol for persecuted believers. When threatened by Romans in the first centuries after Christ, Christians used the fish mark meeting places and tombs, or to distinguish friends from foes.

Triangular number

153 (number)

Factorials

Factorial is the product of all positive integers less than or equal to the number you start with.  You put a ! after it to show its factorial.  So here’s an example, starting off with the number five.

5! is 5 x 4 x 3 x 2 x 1 = 120,
4! is 4 x 3 x 2 x 1 = 24,
3! is 3 x 2 x 1 = 6,
2! is 2 x 1 = 2,
1! is 1 x 1 = 1

So five factorial is 120, expressed as this, 5! = 5 x 4 x 3 x 2 x 1.

The sum of five factorial, 5! + 4! + 3! + 2! + 1! is 153.

Venn Diagram

In a Venn diagram, two circles are joined, with an overlapping area representing a set.  The region in both circles, where the two sets overlap, is called the intersection.

Archimedes work “On the Measurement of the Circle.” 

Archimedes, a Greek mathematician, physicist, engineer, inventor, and astronomer applied the square root of three (√3) to the number 265 divided by 153 in his ratios for the Measurement of the Circle.  It is not known how he determined this.

Archimedes used these ratios as upper and lower bounds ‘On the Measurement of the Circle.’

So if you make the intersection of two circles a height of 265, the width will equal 153.  The mathematical ratio of the height of the Vesica Piscis to the width across its center is the square root of 3, or 1.732.

What are my qualifications to back this up?  I’ve been reading the Bible for 25 years, I am a member of the Body of Christ with a teaching gift, and I am a child of God.  I should also mention I passed University level Statistics!

God indeed chooses the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; He chooses the weak things of the world to shame the strong. (1 Corinthians 1:27-29)

That sneaky woman

yeastHere’s another parable that’s difficult to explain;  “The Kingdom of Heaven is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal till it was all leavened.”  Matthew 13:33

The trouble with this parable is that leaven (yeast) is likened to pride and sin!

Some say that in this instance leaven is a good thing. It means the good news of the Kingdom will change the whole world, and then the Kingdom of God will come.  I don’t think so.  There’s nothing to back that up in scripture – nor has it come to pass.  How many of us have families who are all following the Lord?  The gospel brings persecution – not peace.

Jesus, when he was talking about persecution, said “Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.  For I have come to turn a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law – a man’s enemies will be the members of his own household.”  Matthew 10:34-36. 

Let’s look at what Jesus meant when he said “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.”  Matthew 24:14.  If you read this in context you’ll see he’s talking about the tribulation after the disciples asked him about the end times.

I believe he’s speaking of the preaching of the two witnesses and the 144,000 Jewish evangelists, after the Church has gone.  Because he said in the next sentence that when they see the Abomination of Desolation in the temple, to run for the hills.  Matthew 24:15.  And he was speaking to the Jews because he said to pray that their flight did not take place on the Sabbath.  Matthew 24:20.

So what did Jesus mean by “the Kingdom of Heaven being like leaven?” Well, lets look at what was specified for offerings in Leviticus;

On the eighth day they must bring two male lambs and one ewe lamb a year old, each without defect, along with three-tenths of an ephah (three measures) of the finest flour mixed with olive oil for a grain offering, and one log of oil.” Leviticus 14:10

So the woman sneaked leaven into the offering.

Jesus said I AM the Bread of Life.  He is bread without leaven.  This unleavened bread has stripes.

The Body of Christ is likened to bread, but unlike Jesus, it has leaven.  “Is not the bread that we break a participation in the body of Christ?  Because there is one loaf, we, who are many, are one body, for we all share the one loaf.”  1 Corinthians 10:16-17

The leaven has had 2,000 years to rise!  It’s really puffed up in some places.

There’s different types of leaven, just as there’s different types of yeast.

First, Jesus warned about the leaven of the Pharisees:  “Be careful,” Jesus warned them. “Watch out for the yeast of the Pharisees and that of Herod.”  Mark 8:15Matthew 16:6-11 

He explained that the yeast of the Pharisees is hypocrisy.  Be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.” Luke 12:1

In Matthew 23, A Warning Against Hypocrisy, he pronounced seven woes on the Teachers of the Law and said “You shut the door of the kingdom of heaven in people’s faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let those enter who are trying to.” Matthew 23:13.

And then there’s sexual sin.  Sexual immorality is leaven within the church, destroying its fellowship. Paul took on the church at Corinth who were proud of their tolerance.  They had sexual sin of the kind that even the pagans didn’t tolerate.

He said,

“Your boasting is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens [ferments] the whole lump [of dough]? Cleanse out the old leaven that you may be a new lump [fresh dough], as you really are unleavened. For Christ, our paschal lamb, has been sacrificed. Let us, therefore, celebrate the festival, not with the old leaven, the leaven of malice and evil, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.” (1 Corinthians 5:6-8 RSV)

The festival that Paul told the church at Corinth to celebrate was the Festival Of Unleavened Bread that the Jews observe at Passover.

Finally, in the book of Galatians 5:9, Paul speaks of leaven, this time in connection with legalism, with trying to put people under the Law.  Christ came to set us free from that.

When I was handed my baton in Chapter 8, The Year of Inheritance and learned about the race of faith in Hebrews 12, I was warned about this.  The legalism for me came in the form of prosperity doctrine.  And it was subtle.  The leaven was well and truly hidden.  It did hamper me from running my race, until we got out of that church.

You were running a good race. Who cut in on you to keep you from obeying the truth?  That kind of persuasion does not come from the one who calls you.  “A little yeast works through the whole batch of dough.”  Galatians 5:7-9.

Now we don’t know who the sneaky woman was who introduced the leaven.  It could be Jezebel, mentioned in Revelation 2:20.  That spirit likes to promote immorality.  It twists and distorts the truth, teaching so-called secret things.

As for things done in secrecy, Jude warned For certain individuals whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord.” Jude v4.

Jude was the brother of Jesus Christ, and one of the Twelve Apostles appointed by Jesus to lead his Church, and he urged Christians to contend for the faith.  In England, on the same day the 60th anniversary of the Queen’s Coronation was celebrated at Westminster Abbey, the peers voted to allow David Cameron’s same-sex marriage Bill to continue its passage through parliament.  The Queen, who is called “the Defender of the Faith” broke her oath by signing the Bill into law the following month, July 2013.

Within months England had a string of severe storms and floods in the UK, beginning with the St. Jude storm on 27-28 October 2013, which was also known as CycloneChristian’.  Prime Minister Cameron called the UK floods ‘biblical’ after the Thames burst it’s banks on 11th Feb 2014, but I don’t know if Britain noticed the sign about Jude.  I wrote about it in my other blog Red Sky in the Morning.

Jude also warned against those who run greedily in the error of Balaam, who prophesies for profit.  (Jude 11 and Revelation 2:14).

We have to accept that there will be leaven in the bread, but we can combat it by knowing our Bible.

Timothy, pastor at Ephesus between AD 64-66, wrote “Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.” 1 Timothy 4:16.

Finally, a bit of trivia.  The word “yeast” comes from Old English gist, gyst, and from the Indo-European root yes-, meaning “boil”, “foam”, or “bubble.”

It brings to mind the opening scene from Macbeth where the witches are going “Double, double toil and trouble; Fire burn, and cauldron bubble.”

I think the sneaky woman with the leaven would have got on just fine with the witches.

That poor widow

As he taught, Jesus said, “Watch out for the teachers of the law. They devour widows’ houses and for a show make lengthy prayers. These men will be punished most severely.” Mark 12:38-43

How many of us have heard the story of the widow’s mite as an example of sacrificial giving?  Jesus made the observation that she gave more than all the rich people.  He did not commend her for that.  He just stated a fact after warning about the Teachers of the Law, who liked to devour widows houses!  (Mark 12:38-43)

When he did talk about commending people, he used the example of the unjust steward! (Luke 16) Really?  How does that work?  I asked the Lord for his wisdom on that, because it appeared he was being contradictory.

I was at work, so he gave me an example from my business.  Say I order a really expensive computer part, but the customer doesn’t follow through on the order and I can’t return it.  I’m going to be in trouble with Bert, my husband and business partner, because I didn’t get a 50% deposit and it has to go in stock.  I decide to sell it at cost.  I tell the next customer that I’ll give them a 30% discount on it.  I’ve lost my profit on the item but Bert is happy because he’s got the money back, and the customer is happy.  That’s what the unjust steward did after getting into trouble with his master.

Jesus said the master commended the dishonest manager because he had acted shrewdly; “For the people of this world are more shrewd in dealing with their own kind than are the people of the light.” (Luke 16:8)
He certainly wouldn’t have been commended if he’d used the master’s money to curry favour for himself.

We’re told to use unrighteous mammon (worldly wealth) to gain friends for ourselves, so that when it is gone, we will be welcomed into eternal dwellings.  But we’re not to serve mammon.

How can the use of unrighteous mammon welcome you into eternal dwellings?  Well, if it’s used to build on God’s foundation, the builder will receive a reward, when the day brings our work to light.  1 Corinthians 3:10-15.

When Jesus warned you can’t serve two masters; God and mammon, he said to lay up treasures in heaven; Matthew 6:19

plater_02The Bible warns about being exploited by false teachers who will make merchandise out of us.  They are ferocious wolves, not sparing the flock.  You’ll know them by their fruit.  They will look like sheep, nice guys who identify with the common people – but they’ll love money, just like the Pharisees of old.  Listen to what they’re preaching, and have a look at their lifestyles.

The historian Josephus (himself a Pharisee) claimed that Pharisees received the full-support and goodwill of the common people, apparently in contrast to the more elite Sadducees, who were the upper class.  (Source: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pharisees.)  The Pharisees loved money. (Luke 16:14).

With feigned words they’ll make merchandise of you.  They talk about the law of sowing and reaping.  Money doesn’t grow on trees and I haven’t seen a harvest after people “sowing” it.  If you sow money into their ministries you’re sowing your talent into the ground, where it’s not going to yield any fruit.  Well, it will yield fruit for them in the form of cash.  There is a proverb that says “From the fruit of their mouth a person’s stomach is filled; with the harvest of their lips they are satisfied.”  Proverbs 18:21

They trot out Malachi 3:8, knowing that it’ll work.  After all, no one wants to rob God!  They should be reading the previous chapter Malachi 2:1-9.  The one that starts “And now, you priests, this warning is for you.”

Here’s what the New Testament has to say about sowing and reaping;
Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.  Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.  Galations 6:7-8.Malachi 3-8

So if a person sowed for financial abundance, they’re sowing to please their flesh.

Another verse about sowing is in the parable of the talents, (Matthew 25:14-29) where the master came and settled accounts with his servants. The one who’d only had one talent had buried it in the ground.  He sowed it, so to speak. Through fear!  Because he thought the master was harsh.  What was he afraid of?  Robbing God?  But Jesus pointed out that this master does not obey the law of sowing and reaping!  “He reaps where he has not sown and gathers where he has scattered no seed. (Matthew 25:24-26, said twice)

Did you know Baal is the god of prosperity?  I believe the devil is trying to get believers to sow into the natural (the flesh) so they’ll build on a foundation that is not Christ, thus affecting their treasures in heaven (spiritual inheritance).  And it will frustrate God’s purposes by diverting funds away from the Kingdom of God.  And THAT is robbing God.

Now who do you think encouraged the poor widow to give?  The Teachers of the Law!  Oh by the way, true religion is taking care of widows and orphans.  James 1:27.  What’s wrong with this picture!

Now I’m not against giving.  I’m for being wise, being a good steward of my money, and having the freedom to give joyfully.  I love investing in the kingdom of God.  Did you know you can even loan God money?
Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward them for what they have done.  Proverbs 9:17

But I’m not going to allow religious leaders to take away my freedom, or my riches in heaven.  We are not under law when it comes to our giving.  Anyone who references the Old Testament law to compel giving is a Teacher of the Law.  Watch out for them.  And don’t “sow” into their “ministries”.

Blessed are the peacemakers

In the sermon on the mount, Jesus said, Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God.”  Matthew 5:9

I asked the Lord what he meant by that on my early morning walk today.  

First, he gave me a scripture; God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in Jesus, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.”  Colossians 1:20.

The Lord explained that he was the first peace maker; and when we become his sons and daughters, we become his peace makers.  He reminded me what I’d done with my mother last year.  We never had a good relationship.  But he saw her differently from me.

Here’s my story about making peace.

Shepherds call

Seven years passed.  Healed from the hurt of the past, Joanna went from strength to strength.  But she still had bad memories from her childhood.

One day her mother grew seriously ill.  Joanna approached the Lord, concerned about her mother’s salvation.

“Father, it’s up to you whether she’ll pull through this time. I forgive my mother for all the abuse she heaped on us. She wasn’t able to be a good mother because she was abandoned at the age of three.

Is her name written in your book, the book of life?  She believes in you – but she doesn’t know you. I want to be able to bring her to you, but I can’t reach her. I can hardly go through the four spiritual laws, or walk her down the Roman road.  Lord, how can I get her to trust you? You promised that if we lack wisdom, we should ask. I’m asking.”

The Lord gave her an answer for that.

Later Joanna sat at her mother’s side, alone.

“You know that painting of the dog and the lamb you had?” she began.

“Yes, I gave it away,” her mother replied.

“Yes, you did. Remember that lost lamb?”

“The lamb didn’t have a mother,” her mother recalled.

“Yes, that’s right Mum, she didn’t have a mother,” Joanna replied, sad.

“The Lord said for me to tell you that you are that lamb” she said, as soon as she’d gathered her composure.

Tears came to her mother’s eyes.

“Who was the dog barking for?” Joanna asked.

“The shepherd,” her mother eventually answered.

“Did you know the Lord is the Shepherd?” Joanna replied.

More tears came.

Just as Joanna had foreseen, Joanna’s mother talked about religion.

“Mum, do you know what the Bible says true religion is?” Joanna responded.

Her mother shook her head.

“True religion is to take care of widows and orphans,” Joanna replied, giving the answer the Lord had given her.

“I’m a widow,” her mother said.

“That’s right, you are a widow,” Joanna replied, impressed at the Lord’s answer.

“Who is the Lord to you?” Joanna cautiously asked, feeling like the Collie.

Her mother was silent.

“Are you afraid of death?” Joanna asked.

“Yes, I’m afraid of the devil – I don’t want to see him,” she replied.

Joanna introduced the Shepherd.

“Mum, Jesus tends his flock like a shepherd. He looks for lost lambs and he saves them. He wants to carry you in his arms, close to his heart,” she added.

“Who would you like him to be?” she asked, watching her mother’s face.

“My protector,” her mother replied.

“Like a saviour?” Joanna asked.

“Yes,” her mother agreed.

“Do you accept him as your saviour?” Joanna asked.

“Yes,” her mother replied, with childlike faith.

“You are saved,” Joanna told her, relieved to see the lamb now cradled in the Shepherd’s arms.

“Now that you have accepted Jesus as your saviour, you need fear no evil in the Valley of the Shadow of Death. The Lord is your Shepherd, and his rod and staff will comfort you,” Joanna reassured her, remembering her own staff.

That was as much as she could do.

Outside, a piece of rainbow shone out from clouds above the Ruahine mountain range.

That night, her mother sang.

Days of awe

LeoPeople don’t need to be believers to see that the Jewish festivals and calendar days instituted thousands of years ago, are now aligning with the signs in the sky, and major world events. 

In my last post I said I’d explain how God is speaking to those who haven’t read the Bible.  One of the ways he is speaking is by using signs in the heavens.  I’m not talking about Astrology. But if I was, I’d point out that Astrology is made up of these two words: Astro meaning “Star” and Logos meaning Jesus Christ, the Word, the Logos of God.

The devil has covered the witness of the stars with occult graffiti, but he can’t forever.  The truth is right there in our night sky, for all to see.  God is using signs in the sun, moon and stars for warning, prophecy and to show that He is in control.

For instance, last month we had the convergence of Jupiter and Venus, near the bright star Regulus, the star of the King, in the constellation of Leo.  The conjunction was right in front of the Lion’s mouth.

This is what the stars in Leo mean (from Bullinger’s ‘Witness of the Stars’);

The brightest star marks the heart of the Lion. Its ancient name is Regulus, which means treading under foot.
The next star, also of the 1st magnitude (in the tip of the tail), is named Denebola, the Judge or Lord who cometh.
The star (in the mane) is called Al Giebha (Arabic), the exaltation.
The star (on the hinder part of the back) is called Zosma, shining forth.

Can you hear the lion roar?

There is a convergence of events happening in September – involving the number 70, the U.N., the Pope, ‘climate chaos’ and a whole lot of other ungodly factors. The year ending on 13th September 2015, is a shmita year and the last year before the Jewish year of Jubilee, also coinciding with the Tetrad of blood moons.  The ‘shmita’ is the 7th year and in Hebrew, it literally means “release”.

First though I’ll start with God’s calendar.  Rosh Hashanah, the Feast of Trumpets begins at sundown on the 13th September.  It’s the Jewish New Year, and the first of the High Holy Days or “Days of Awe”.  It’s also the 70th Jubilee.

The year of Jubilee happens every 50 years, after 7 lots of 7 Sabbaths (the shmita).  God declared it as a time for debt to be released, the land to have a rest, and for property to return to its original owners.  On the last day of the sixth year, the people of Israel were instructed to perform a releasing of debts (Deuteronomy 15).

This does not just involve Israel.  It’s a pattern God has given the world to follow.  The reason the world is in the state it’s in is that debt does not get released.  The last sabbath of seven years was 2008 – and God spoke to the world by having the stock market crash on September 29, 2008 when the DOW fell 777 points.

For Luciferians, Anno Lucis, the year of light begins and 2015 has been declared as the UN International Year of Light.  It’s also the UN’s 70th Anniversary and the opening of 70th session of the UN general assembly.  CERN will be giving a presentation about High Luminosity.  Also keep an eye on a project they’re doing called “Project AWAKE”.  I don’t understand the physics they’re doing, but I am able to discern occult names and connections.  CERN will be running at full power over this period.

While God is orchestrating signs, Satan is orchestrating events.

The United Nations general assembly climate summit starts on September 23, 2015.  How timely, because in May 2014 the French Foreign Minister warned we had 500 days before “climate chaos”.  What did he mean by that?  Is it going to be something that Cern’s going to do?

The 500 days expires on 24th September, the day the Pope addresses the U.S. congress on his visit to the USA from the 17th to 28th September.  The next day the Pope will address the U.N.   This is the day when the U.N. launches its ‘sustainable development’ agenda for whole world.  How convenient and coincidental is that?

Watch out for this Pope.  How can he reconcile the Vatican’s policy of no birth control with ‘sustainable development’? By the way, ‘sustainable development’ sounds altruistic, but it’s actually a communist buzzword.

Bad Moon Arising

I see the bad moon arising, I see trouble on the way, I see earthquakes and lightnin’, I see bad times today.

The end of the Pope’s visit and the last Tetrad moon occur on the 28th September.  I wonder if he’ll be flying back to Rome with a red blood moon in his window.

The song “Bad Moon Rising” comes to mind.

The song came out in 1969.  It was inspired by a story about a seven year covenant.  The lyrics are quite prophetic.  This is another way that God speaks; through the prophets of the world.  Fogerty from Creedance Clear Water Revival reportedly wrote that song after watching a film called The Devil and Daniel Webster”.  The film was set in 1840 New Hampshire, where poor, downtrodden farmer Jabez Stone sells his soul to “Mr. Scratch” in return for seven years of luck and prosperity.  ‘Jabez’ means sorrow or trouble.

There’s another song by Greenday called “Wake me up when September ends“.

September is not a time to be asleep.  Actually I think most of us are up and smelling the coffee, or is it sulphur?  It’s something.  I’m not a prophet, but I am a blood hound when it comes to discernment.  We need to have our own project ‘AWAKE’ so we can pray and warn people.  We don’t belong to the night.

We are all children of the light and children of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness.
So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be awake and sober.
For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, get drunk at night.  1 Thessalonians 5:5-7

I await the Lord’s coming but I worry about the people who don’t know him yet.  Anyway I’d love to hear your thoughts and comments.

The deaf shall hear

Anna, a young German woman emigrated to New Zealand with her husband Wilhelm and baby son in 1875.  She went deaf soon after her arrival and was unable to learn English.  After 22 years she was left a widow with half of her eight children under the age of twelve.  There was no social welfare back then, her older sons provided for her.  She didn’t have citizenship because their papers were destroyed in the bush fires that had raged through the province in the 1880’s.

Although Anna could not hear, she was not deaf when it came to hearing from God.   His became the only voice she could hear.   She heard him by reading his word.  A stranger in a strange land, her consolation came from the great words of the Bible.

Anna was my great-great grandmother.   It was obvious from a couple of very old letters of Anna’s that she’d made contact with the Lord through reading the Bible. Some have described Anna’s letters as ‘religious’. I didn’t see it that way. Even though she was a stranger from another culture writing in German, I felt she was speaking my language. Her letters comforted me.

This is one of the things she wrote;

“Trust the Lord in your ways and free yourself of your troubles. Trust His fatherly care, before him nothing is too hard or too large that He cannot guide and lead you by the glory of His name to greater love and happiness. Of all the people and possessions, my saviour is still nearest to me.  The Lord sees into your heart.”  Anna Dassler.

Her words eventually helped guide me back to the Father. It took me a long time to realise that an ancestor’s legacy of faith was God’s gift to me.

God breathedI came to know the Lord after a gap of three generations.  The reason the faith did not get handed down could have been because of hearing and language difficulties and the loss of Wilhelm, or it could have been the presence of Freemasonry in the family.  Or it could have been a combination of all of those factors.

I had my hearing, but I was deaf to God at first.  It took me 20 years before I could hear him.  I first heard him at the age of 35 while reading from Hosea in the Bible.

Sometimes I’m asked how I am able to hear God’s voice. I look at it like this; he’s an author, and we’re in his story. The Lord is called “the author and finisher of our faith” in Hebrews 12:1-2.

We hear him through faith, by taking him at his word. As I said; faith comes from hearing, and hearing from the word. That word is the Bible. It’s the only book that has the power to reach the spirit.   On its own can be mistaken for a series of stories, wise sayings, and songs. However it is only through the development of a relationship with the author of the Bible, getting to know his thought processes and connecting with his spirit that we come to recognise the power of his word.

So I began to hear the author of the Bible after reading his book.  Jesus calls it having “ears to hear”.  He taught in parables saying “Whoever has ears, let them hear,” Matthew 11:15

What happens when we haven’t read or heard the word?  God will use signs, dreams, coincidences, and songs or movies from those prophets of the world who have been inspired to write things that line up with his word.  But his normal way of speaking personally to us is through the Rhema word; a word from the Bible for personal application.

I encourage my son and daughter to read the Bible.  I say it’s the most important book they’ll ever read.  I know if they read it, hearing will come.  But it’s up to them.  I hope they will listen to me because the time is late.

I do this, understanding the present time: The hour has already come for us to wake up from our slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed.  Romans 13:11.
